European International Business Academy (EIBA)
The European International Business Academy (EIBA) is a professional association for academics and individuals interested in the interdisciplinary field of International Business (IB). Membership is open to individuals from Europe and around the world. EIBA currently has approximately 600 members from more than 50 countries.
Throughout the year, local EIBA workshops are organized on topics related to International Business. EIBA promotes enhanced social engagement through initiatives such as the Greening Guidelines and the Diversity & Inclusion Guidelines.
Athenian Policy Forum
Established in 1994, the Athenian Policy Forum aims to promote independent and objective analysis while stimulating research and public discussion on issues related to economic adjustment under changing demographic, environmental, social, political, technological, and trade conditions.
While the processes and implications of current transformations may not yet be fully understood, they highlight the need to build a new consensus around policy reform within a market-oriented economy.
International Conference on Applied Economics and Financial Issues: Policy Implications
Starting in September 2025, the Department of Economics of the University of Piraeus, in collaboration with the Department of Economics of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, will organize the annual International Conference on Applied Economics and Financial Issues: Policy Implications (AEFI).
The conference aims to bring together researchers from around the world, provide a platform for presenting research, and offer doctoral students and early-career researchers the opportunity to interact with senior scholars. Roundtable discussions involving academics and industry professionals will also be featured.
International Scientific Conference on Competition Law and Economics
This conference focuses on:
“Modern Issues on Competition Law and Economics: Digital Economy, Sustainability & Artificial Intelligence.”
It is jointly organized by the University of Piraeus (ETOS Lab), University College London (CLES), and Queen Mary University (CCLS), and is hosted at the University of Piraeus.
