The primary objective of the Laboratory of Entrepreneurship, Technology and Economic Strategy (ETOS) is to provide both a solid theoretical foundation and practical experience across three main pillars of activity: (1) Research, (2) Outreach, and (3) Services.
1) Research
ETOS develops initiatives of both practical and research interest in collaboration with other institutions, businesses, and partners from an ever-expanding network in Greece and abroad. Faculty members, researchers, and students work together to produce applied knowledge focusing on key challenges faced by micro and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), as well as the broader business environment, technology and innovation producers, and economic policy-makers.
2) Outreach
The Laboratory organizes conferences, workshops, and seminars, aiming to keep stakeholders informed about current developments in entrepreneurship, technology, and economic strategy. To support this goal, Greek and international researchers, business leaders, and executives from organizations and institutions are invited to deliver lectures on key topics within the Laboratory’s areas of activity. In addition, ETOS provides educational and informational material in both print and digital formats, which is easily accessible through its activities and website.
3) Services
The Laboratory encourages students and members of the academic community to engage with the real-world environment of business and the economy through hands-on, experiential learning. Students, in collaboration with academic staff and professionals from both the private and public sectors, offer advisory services and guidance to individuals who lack entrepreneurial knowledge and wish to develop it in order to implement and grow their business ideas, as well as to enhance business competitiveness.
The Laboratory also provides guidance on the development of appropriate economic strategies and the dissemination of technological and innovation-driven advancements. This process constitutes a unique learning experience for students, enabling them to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. Furthermore, ETOS supports students who wish to conduct research on contemporary issues in entrepreneurship, technology, and economic strategy.
